PHILADELPHIA, PA – Kitchen Kapers recently announced that they would be closing their Rittenhouse store by the end of January. This marks a significant change for Kitchen Kapers, as it was their first-ever store in the state and it is over 40 years old.
The news was first mentioned on their website where the carpet retailer wrote: ‘This was the first store we opened in Pennsylvania over four decades ago and after so many years, this decision comes with both nostalgia for the countless memories shared within these walls and gratitude for the incredible support you’ve provided over the decades. We are honored to have been part of this community’s people, celebrations, and everyday moments.’
Due to the size of the store, this will leave a large physical space which will presumably be occupied by a similar retailer at some point. However, at this point in time it is not known what will replace the establishment.
Kitchen Kapers is a beloved specialty retailer that has been inspiring culinary enthusiasts since its humble beginnings in 1975. With two store locations in Philadelphia and a Curbside Pickup Warehouse in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, Kitchen Kapers offers a wide selection of top-quality cookware, bakeware, cutlery, coffee and espresso machines, and much more.
