We regretfully announce the passing of Patricia Carder, aged 62, a resident of Mount Vernon, Illinois. Mrs. Carder peacefully departed on March 21, 2024, at 12:22 p.m., in the comfort of her own home. Born on June 22, 1961, in Mount Vernon, Illinois, Patricia was the daughter of Henry and Lucy (Suddlith) Henn.
She leaves behind a cherished legacy in her siblings, including brothers Oscar Lee (Susan) Henn of Westville, IN, and Larry (Julia) Henn of Mount Vernon, IL; sisters Linda Bigley of Bluford, IL, and Nancy Dagg of Mobile, AL. She was also blessed with several beloved nieces and nephews.
In addition to the loss of her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her brothers Gene, Don, Bill, Jerry, Douglas, and Roger Henn; her sister Judy Stewart; and her cherished pets, Peewee and Babygirl.
Patricia Carder was a dedicated professional, having served as a dispatcher for Taxi Cab Companies in Mount Vernon. She was also a devoted member of the Pentecostal faith, demonstrating her strong spiritual convictions throughout her life. In her leisure time, Patricia enjoyed watching her favorite television show, Cops, on Fridays and Saturdays. She was an ardent fan of the Dallas Cowboys and took great delight in following their games.
Her presence will be profoundly missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing her. In accordance with Patricia’s wishes, she will be cremated, and no public services will be held at this time.
