Huntsville’s only Krispy Kreme location closes – But it’s not permanent

Huntsville, AL – Recently, Huntsville’s solo Krispy Kreme location has closed. Located at 1218 N Memorial Parkway, this Krispy Kreme has been in Huntsville for over 10 years. Naturally, seeing it closed may ring alarm bells for locals. However, its closure will hopefully be a short-term measure.

A recent photo of a sign was shared on social media which confirmed it wasn’t permanent. Here, it read: ‘Closed for renovations, sorry for the inconvenience.’ This has been on display for the past few days and despite its reassurance, it is not known when the store will re-open. As seen, the sign doesn’t give away any other details.

Regardless of its supposed short-term closure, members on Reddit speculated that this could lead to a long-term shuttering. Historically, some restaurants use short-term closures to quietly exit a location. However, it should be noted that this has not been confirmed here and is only speculation at this point.

Krispy Kreme began in 1937 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Krispy Kreme quickly became known for its delicious, glazed doughnuts and signature Hot Light, which indicates when the doughnuts are hot and fresh off the line. Over the years, the brand has grown exponentially, with more than 1,000 stores worldwide today.

In addition to their iconic Original Glazed doughnuts, Krispy Kreme has introduced a variety of other flavors to their menu over the years, including Chocolate Iced with Sprinkles, Strawberry Iced with Sprinkles, and the Reeseā€™s Peanut Butter Doughnut. Based on this iconic menu, Huntsville residents will be hoping this really is only a short-term closure.
