Ballard FC announces new sponsorship with local fast-food chain

SEATTLE, WA – Seattle’s Ballard FC recently announced a new shirt sponsor for the upcoming Western Conference soccer season. Their new partnership will see the team join forces with the local fast-food chain Dick’s Drive-In which has been serving burgers and shakes to Seattle residents for over 65 years.

The announcement was made on the official Ballard FC X page where they wrote: ‘As we enter into our 2024 season at historic Memorial Stadium, it only feels right to welcome @DicksDriveIns, a Seattle staple, into our Ballard FC family. Get your new Ballard FC home kit with the iconic Dick’s Drive-In logo.’

Based on the image provided, it looks as though Dick’s will not be the main shirt sponsor which typically occupies the front-middle of a soccer jersey. Instead, this space is occupied by Reuben’s Brews, which is another Seattle-based business. Instead, the Dick’s Drive-In logo is situated on the back of the jersey underneath the neck.

Dick’s Drive-In is known for its simple but tasty menu, which consists of a variety of burgers, hot dogs, and ice cream treats, all made with fresh and high-quality ingredients. The restaurant has remained largely unchanged over the years, retaining its iconic neon signs, carhop service, and classic drive-in feel.

Based on the success of Ballard FC who won the 2023 Western Conference Championship last season, it looks like this sponsorship deal could work out well for both parties.
