New Mediterranean restaurant ‘Seville’ opens in the Loop

CHICAGO, IL – A new upscale Mediterranean restaurant named Seville opened last week in the Loop. Seville also features a rooftop bar and is located in the heart of the city above the Hilton Canopy and directly opposite the Sears Tower. Specifically, its address is 243 S Franklin St, and its official opening date was on January 9th.

To add to the air of luxury, Seville is the concept and brainchild of the iconic chef Fabio Viviani. Viviani is a renowned celebrity chef, restaurateur, cookbook author, and TV personality known for his passion for food, personality, and extensive culinary experience. He has appeared on numerous television shows, including Bravo’s Top Chef, and is known for his knowledge of Italian and Spanish food.

It is no surprise then, that Seville blends these two styles. This includes pasta entrees, Toro Carpaccio, truffle purses, and desserts such as tiramisu. The drinks menu includes Spanish wines and a mixture of classic cocktails.

As you may expect, this isn’t particularly cheap, with mains coming in at $38 and cocktails costing $16. Elsewhere, wine bottles start at $50 meaning a full meal for two can easily come to $200. Nonetheless, this is to be expected when factoring in the reputation of the chef and its location. In fairness, you can tell that this restaurant has had a lot of effort go into it and its ingredients are of the highest quality. Based on this, it looks like Seville will be a fine addition to the Loop.
