ORANGE COUNTRY, California – Orange County is set to get another Handel’s Ice Cream venue. This will be the fourth of its kind in the area as the chain continues its expansion in the state. Based on this, it looks as though the ice cream shop has enjoyed commercial success in the OC and its newest location will be situated at the Alton Square shopping center. Here, it will occupy the space that previously housed Pick Up Stix.
As seen in the image below, the venue currently has a coming soon sign and images on the entrance of the property. This was photographed by a passerby who shared the image on social media.
Handel’s Ice Cream is a family-owned and operated ice cream business that has been serving customers since 1945. Founded by Alice Handel in Youngstown, Ohio, the company started as a small ice cream shop serving homemade ice cream to locals.
Today, Handel’s has over 30 locations in 5 states, including Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana, North Carolina, and California, and continues to uphold Alice’s original commitment to premium quality ice cream made using only the freshest ingredients. To date, Orange County currently has three Handel’s stores located in the likes of Irvine and Newport Beach.
The menu at Handel’s is packed with classic flavors like vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry, as well as more unique offerings like chocolate-covered pretzels and toffee crunch. They also offer an array of sundaes, milkshakes, and frozen yogurt.
