USI announces fiber internet price increase

Minneapolis, MN – In an email sent out yesterday, USI announced that they would be increasing the price of their fiber service. The increase will go up by $5 per month and according to USI, this was something they ‘must’ do. However, the email also failed to explain what justified the increase in greater detail.

Specifically, the email read: ‘Thank you for your continued business and support. We have determined that we must increase the price of our USI Fiber service, $5 per month effective March 1st, 2024. This change will be seamless and reflected on invoices for service beginning on or after that date.’

The email continued and listed off the various benefits of using USI including 24-hour customer service, fast and reliable service, and other perks. The email can be seen in greater detail below. Despite this price increase, USI still remains one of the cheaper providers in Minneapolis and is generally known for providing a reliable, competitive service.
