Astoria, NY – After being dormant for nearly one year, it looks as though Zen is finally set to open. Located on 30th Ave, locals have gotten used to seeing this eatery covered in wraps for the majority of the time. As of yesterday, these wraps have since been removed and the inside of the venue is now fully furnished. According to one eyewitness on social media, the restaurant was also filled with people, meaning that it was either a training day or a soft opening.
This theory was also confirmed on the Zen Instagram page which claimed to be opening soon. Perhaps more telling, the restaurant also shared stories from locals who had dined there. This showed off various Asian dishes which took place in a modern setting.
An upscale venue, this eatery also comes with a stylish bar and will supposedly offer a diverse menu of authentic dishes from various Asian countries including the likes of Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese, and Malaysian cuisines.
While a set opening date has not yet been confirmed, it looks as though Zen is very close to going public. This may come as a surprise to some residents of Astoria seeing as it was seemingly in limbo for months without a realistic opening date in sight. Nonetheless, it looks as though it may have been worth the wait and will offer something different to the local dining scene.
