Sacramento, CA – Following the departure of Mikuni, a new sushi concept is set to open at the familiar Market Square location. Pier 50, conceived by the esteemed Fukumi Restaurant Group, is preparing to debut its all-you-can-eat experience at 1735 Arden Way, as confirmed by the group’s official website. A coming soon sign has also been posted outside of the restaurant.
Mikuni, a popular Sacramento chain, recently vacated the Arden Fair premises, relocating to a new address within the Arden Arcade district at Pavilions shopping center on Fair Oaks Boulevard. Meanwhile, the anticipation builds for Pier 50’s grand opening, anticipated for early spring, with the Fukumi Restaurant Group aiming for a mid-March launch.
Sylbi Song, co-owner of the Fukumi Restaurant Group alongside her husband, Han, expressed their enthusiasm for the upcoming venture. The couple established the group upon relocating from Las Vegas to Sacramento in 2019, initially showcasing their culinary vision through Fukumi Ramen, a Roseville eatery specializing in Hakata-style ramen. Since then, their culinary footprint has expanded with a second Fukumi Ramen location in Citrus Heights, alongside ventures like Fukumi Chaya in Folsom and Its Sushi, an all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant also situated in Roseville.
Pier 50 promises to tantalize palates with an extensive menu exceeding 100 items, encompassing not only delectable sushi but also captivating small plates, Korean fusion delights, and options catering to non-raw preferences. The all-you-can-eat experience will cater to diverse appetites with price points ranging from $30 to $50 per person.
