Saturday, October 6th, 2018, the Senate voted in favor of confirming Brett Kavanaugh as the newest Supreme Court Justice. Voting 50-48 in favor, Kavanaugh is the 114th Supreme Court Justice in american history, and the second to be appointed under the Trump administration (Npr.com).

While Kavanaugh was formally sworn in on Saturday, October 6th, shortly after the confirmation vote, President Trump held a ceremonial swearing-in on Monday, October 8th (Cbsnews.com).

Among the controversy of Kavanaugh’s hearing, accuser Christine Blasey Ford was addressed by the leaders of the #MeToo movement in an open letter on Wednesday, October 10th (Nytimes.com).
