Twitch Streamer ‘Dr. DisRespect’ has Shots Fired at Home Twice in One Week

Guy Beahm, known online by the alias “Dr. DisRespect” (a popular online streamer known for his boisterous online persona), suddenly discovered that shots had been fired at his home while broadcasting via the website Twitch (

Police officer Lt. Amber Braggs confirmed that there was a 911 call at Beahm’s address reporting a shot-through window on Tuesday, September 11th, and that a similar incident had had been reported at the same location on Monday the 10th as well. In addition, investigators also said that it had likely been a BB gun used in the attempted shootings, not a firearm (

Guy Beahm made a statement on Twitter (@DrDisRespect) Tuesday the 11th, tweeting:

“The Doc and family appreciate everyone’s concerns and well wishes.

Thankfully no one was hurt. The situation is being handled appropriately.

In the meantime, stream will resume tomorrow according to schedule.


Beahm is quoted giving a short explanation while livestreaming on Tuesday, minutes after the shot was fired, before abruptly ending the livestream “I’ve got to end the broadcast right now, someone shot at our house, broke the (expletive) upstairs window. This is the second shot, someone shot yesterday, at our (expletive) house and someone shot again right now, connected with the house, upstairs” (
